Grihastay is an online directory of homestays and village communities in Nepal. This policy explains what personal information we process and why.
Visitors
You can browse Grihastay without an account. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our servers keep short technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to protect the service against abuse.
Homestay owners and staff
When you create an account we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password, as well as your homestay details. We record security events, such as sign-ins and important changes, to protect your account.
Contact details on listings
Phone numbers, email addresses and links that an owner marks as public are shown on the homestay page so that travellers can contact the host. Owners can change or hide them at any time.
Photos
Location data and other hidden information are removed from every uploaded photo before it is published.

We only use cookies that are necessary to sign in and to keep your session secure.
